Alisha Saucedo LSCSW RPT

Alisha Saucedo, LSCSW, RPT is a clinical social worker and registered play therapist. She is trained in the EMDR protocol which can be used to treat clients with histories of trauma. She also works with mood disorders, anxiety and depression, as well as with common life stressors like relationship issues, divorce, self-esteem, codependency, grief/loss, academic problems, sexuality, and career decision making. Alisha works with young adults of any gender and sexual orientation. She is presently seeking advanced training in sexuality and sex therapy.

Shelly Allen, APRN-BC

Shelly Allen, ARPN-BC, has over 35 years of experience working with all ages across life spans.  The majority of her work has been with children, adolescents and their families. She believes in a holistic approach to dealing with various difficulties, and offers education on lifestyle changes in combination with medication management, as needed. One of her strengths is forming alliances with clients and families to help them overcome any apprehension about receiving psychiatric services.  She truly enjoys working with people and helping them become emotionally healthy again. Shelly offers evaluations, consultations and medication management services.  She has an interest, and experience, in working with those with co-occurring substance use disorders as well.  “I am excited to be joining the practice at New Beginnings so I can continue to expand the scope of my practice.”

Dan Messick, LSCSW

Dan Messick has been providing psychotherapy services for more than16 years. He is trained in the techniques of play therapy, Sandplay, art therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy for Couples, and Jungian Analytical Psychology. Dan is heavily rooted in attachment theory and prefers to involve caregivers in the therapy process when working with children. Areas of interest include problem behaviors in children, mood disorders, trauma, and relationship conflicts.
